How we work

We work to give you the confidence and financial freedom you need to live the life you want.

Your financial planning journey

Our financial planning process focuses on you. We aim to build a clear plan for the life you want for the future, then set you on course to achieve it. Here’s an overview of what you can expect from working with us.

Discovery meeting

Every person’s journey is unique, but they all start from a place of discovery. When you meet one of our financial planners for the first time, they will get to know you, and will look to understand your life, dreams, hopes, and aspirations.

Research & analysis

Armed with the information we need, we’ll conduct a full analysis of your current financial situation, researching the changes we’d need to make in order for you to meet your goals.

Presenting your plan

We’ll meet again to present your bespoke financial plan and talk through our recommendations in detail. Using cash flow modelling tools, we’ll be able to demonstrate how your current situation matches up with your objectives, visualising the steps you need to take to turn them into reality.

Implementation

If you’re happy with our recommendations, we will put your plan into action. We’ll contact all providers directly and take care of the administration requirements – all you have to do is carry on with life, knowing your finances are in safe hands.

Ongoing reviews

Life can be unpredictable and people’s circumstances change, so it’s important that we adapt your plan accordingly. We’ll meet regularly to review your financial plan and modify it where we need to, ensuring that whatever life springs at you, you can still live the life you want.

How we charge

We believe in fairness and transparency when it comes to our fees. Your first meeting is free. This gives us both the opportunity to get to know each other and, crucially, for you to understand how we work and how we can help you.

If you decide we're a good fit, the amount we charge will depend on the work we do for you. To give you a rough idea, we usually charge an initial fee between 1-2.9% and our ongoing advice and service fee is 0.5% each year.

If you’re an expat in Europe, you should beware offshore advisers who offer you free advice. Many of these advice firms will charge you commission. This means you could end up having to pay 10% charges on your investments. Because we charge on a fee-based arrangement, you’ll know exactly how much our expert advice will cost before you commit.
